Action Parameters

Parameters are useful to make actions more versatile. With action parameters, you can use the same action for multiple rules or for multiple Button tiles, with slight changes.

Parameters are separated from other words with the # sign. For this example, we create an Email action.

Define the parameters​

There are two options to define the parameters of the action: in a rule or in a Button tile.

In a rule​

In the rule edition page, an action with parameters will have a button Parameters sent by the Trigger.

By clicking on the button, a form will appear to define the parameters.

In a Button tile​

In the Button tile form, select a rule linked to an action with parameters. The action parameters can be defined in the Button parameters section.
